NORTHEAST FLORIDA AMERICA’S PROMISE GRANT PROGRAM: YOUR FAST TRACK TO A JOB IN MANUFACTURING, CONSTRUCTION & WELDING

Whether you are looking forward to your first job, a veteran ready to return to the civilian workforce, unemployed, or in need of targeted training for your current job - the Advanced Manufacturing Training Program at Florida State College at Jacksonville can put you on the fast track to a job in manufacturing.

Training and certification can be completed in several weeks, like OSHA 30-Hour or Hazwoper 40-Hour, while other programs can be completed in 12 months so  you can gain new skills, be ready for industry certification, and earn college credits toward an Associate in Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing or Industrial Management. FSCJ provides accelerated, hands-on, high-tech training programs that will assist in finding paid internships and entry-level employment as a: 

  •     Machinist
  •     Welder
  •     Maintenance Technician
  •     Mechanical Technician
  •     HVAC Helper
  •     Electrical Helper
  •    PLCs and Robotics Technician 

You’ll get hands-on training by industry experts using the latest equipment designed to meet the needs of local business. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.  

Our partnerships with local manufacturing companies provide opportunities for internships and job placement.

Eligibility:

This free training is focused on helping underemployed, unemployed and dislocated workers, Veterans and incumbent workers gain new skills for entry-level employment opportunities. Please note financial aid assistance must be waived in order to receive grant support.
