SNAP E & T PROGRAM

SNAP Employment & Training Requirements

Florida’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), often referred to as Food Stamps, requires that all Able-Bodied Adults without Dependents (ABAWDS) aged 18-59 must participate in the SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) program. Read these Frequently Asked Questions for more information about SNAP and the ABAWD status.

The goal of the SNAP E&T program is to help unemployed recipients of food assistance benefits find work. CareerSource NEFL oversees the SNAP E&T program in Duval, St. Johns, Putnam, Baker, Clay, and Nassau Counties in partnership with FloridaCommerce.
