In 1948, Aaron Lapin and Aaron Block founded Reddi-Wip in Jacksonville.

Seventy-two years later, the company is known as Darifair Foods and is still headquartered in Jacksonville, where it now plans to construct innovation space.

Matthews Design Group submitted plans for Darifair’s 37,250-square-foot innovation building to the city on April 28.

The building will be located on a 5-acre vacant parcel on Gran Bay Parkway that Darifair bought for $2.1 million in January. The Stellar Group will construct the building.
