Suddath launches standalone logistics firm (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — Jacksonville-based Suddath Cos. rebranded its logistics business into a standalone entity, a move it sees as helping spur brand awareness as it seeks to grow the business.
“(For our customers) it provides more scalability, flexibility and probably an overall greater customer service experience with a dedicated standalone logistics business,” said Mark Frazier, chief commercial officer of the newly renamed NXTPoint Logistics.
Services offered by NTXPoint cover the gamut, from logistics project management to warehousing, distribution and fulfillment, transportation and freight management, and final-mile delivery.
“It’s kind of a strategic growth opportunity for us, as the logistics industry is on track to reach somewhere [around]d $14 trillion by 2028,” Frazier said. “We see it as a significant opportunity for us to really leverage our footprint and our skill set and our overall capabilities.”
It’s a perfect time for the company, he added, to not only continue its existing services to clients, but developing more value-added services to further expand into the logistics space. The intention is to also provide more visibility to inventory for clients.
“We can actually do this in kind of a more scalable fashion, and the fact that some of the big-box competitors need three-to-five-year contract terms, we can look at this and (provide) a little bit more of a scalable solution,” Frazier said.
The idea is to tailor solutions to the individual client to their specific needs, while increasing efficiency.
“Our reputation for delivering excellent customer experiences has been earned, in large part, by staying focused on being the easiest company to do business with,” Suddath President and CEO Michael Brannigan said in a statement.
“While our name is new, our commitment to service excellence and delivering the highest level of quality remains unchanged. This rebrand empowers us to amplify our forward-thinking approach to supply chain management and provide even greater value to our customers.”
