2-Year Modification to the WIOA 4-Year Local Plan
Public Comment Period
CareerSource Northeast Florida announces the availability of its 2-Year Modification to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) 4-Year Local Plan for public review and comment.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each Local Workforce Development Board to develop and submit a comprehensive four-year local plan to the state. Federal regulations also require local plans be modified at the midpoint of the four-year planning cycle.
This 2-Year Modification updates CareerSource Northeast Florida’s original WIOA 4-Year Local Plan to ensure the region’s workforce strategy continues to align with current economic conditions and the needs of area businesses and job seekers. The modification also includes a Regional Plan Addendum for the Nature Coast Regional Planning Area, a new four-board planning region made up of CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, CareerSource North Florida, CareerSource North Central Florida, and CareerSource Northeast Florida.

Comment period: September 16, 2026 to October 1, 2026
All comments received during the public comment period will be reviewed and, where applicable, incorporated into the final plan prior to submission to the state.
