SNAP E & T PROGRAM

SNAP Employment & Training Requirements

Florida’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), often referred to as Food Stamps, requires that all Able-Bodied Adults without Dependents (ABAWDS), age 18-49, must participate in the SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) program. Read these Frequently Asked Questions for more information about SNAP and the ABAWD status.

The goal of the SNAP E&T program is to help unemployed recipients of food assistance benefits find work. CareerSource NEFL oversees the SNAP E&T program in Duval, St. Johns, Putnam, Baker, Clay, and Nassau Counties in partnership with Florida’s Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO).

Once you have been referred to the SNAP E&T program, you must complete the following steps to maintain eligibility for food stamp assistance.

Step 1: If you have not already completed the online assessment on the One-Stop Service Tracking Center (OSST Client Website)  click on this link to complete the assessment: https://osstclient.deo.myflorida.com/

Step 2: Complete the Online Orientation by clicking on this link to review a short video and submit information  – Complete within 7 calendar days of receiving food stamp assistance.

Step 3: A representative from the SNAP E&T department will contact you within 2 business days to discuss SNAP E&T program work requirements.

If you need assistance accessing the Internet or using a computer, please book an appointment to visit your nearest CareerSource NEFL Career Center to complete the requirements
