ArchWell Health considering creation of at least three clinics in Jacksonville (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Daily Record) — ArchWell Health is considering at least three clinics in Jacksonville as the Nashville, Tennessee-based medical system that focuses on senior care enters the market.
The city is reviewing permits for two clinics in West Jacksonville and Arlington, each at a build-out cost estimated at $2 million.
The third location appears to be in the Gateway Town Center area in Brentwood where ArchWell Health has posted a job opening for a medical director.
ArchWell Health issued a statement May 1:
“As an organization focused on quality healthcare for seniors, ArchWell Health believes communities in Jacksonville could greatly benefit from our focus on wellness and value-based care services. We have taken preliminary steps to expand in the area, but our plans are still in progress and subject to change.”
ArchWell Health has 51 locations in nine states.
It has 10 clinics in Florida along the state’s Gulf Coast in Bradenton, Dunedin, Holiday, Largo, New Port Richey, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Venice.
ArchWell Health says it is a national company “devoted to improving the lives of senior members through excellent primary care.”
“With longer appointment times, in-house lab testing, same-day scheduling and weekly social activities, ArchWell Health members experience how the little things change everything.”
It says each primary care center is in a neighborhood “with ease of access and provides an opportunity for seniors to connect with a vibrant, caring community.”
ArchWell Health serves Medicare Advantage members over the age of 60 in centers across Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
It partners with Medicare Advantage plans that include Aetna, Anthem, Cigna Healthcare, Devoted Health Plans, Humana and United Healthcare.
The two Jacksonville permits under city review are described as primary care clinics for seniors. Both of the properties ArchWell would lease are owned by Cardinal Management of Mattituck, New York.
Plans show exam and triage rooms, case manager and social work offices, telemed areas and activity rooms.
Hoar Construction LLC of Orlando is the contractor for both and Earl Swensson Associates Inc. of Nashville is the architect.
In West Jacksonville, ArchWell Health is in review to build-out 8,740 square feet of space at 5930-34 Normandy Blvd. in West Side Plaza. The shopping center is at southeast Normandy Boulevard and Lane Avenue.
In Arlington, ArchWell Health is looking at 8,520 square feet of space at 1072 Arlington Road N. The location is north of Arlington Expressway.
