Your Final Hurdle, Our Community’s Future
CareerSource NEFL is committed to building and strengthening the workforce throughout Northeast Florida. The Crossing the Finish Line scholarship identifies high-performing students who are ready to enter the workforce. This award is open to students enrolled in the THRIVE Program at the University of North Florida (UNF) and completing their final semester of college. By supporting you in your final semester, we ensure that local talent stays local—filling roles throughout our regional employers with qualified, homegrown professionals.
Awards will be based on a rubric scoring of each application and the availability of scholarship funds.
Application deadline is September 7, 2026 at 5:00pm
We know you’ve done the hard work—the late nights studying, the coursework, and the challenges of navigating college. This grant is designed to reduce final financial barriers, such as tuition, certification or exam fees and graduation costs, so you can focus on crossing the finish line.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrollment: Currently enrolled in the THRIVE Program at UNF and beginning the final semester.
- Academic Excellence: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Narrative: Provide a short personal narrative regarding your journey and goals.
- Documentation: Provide all required forms and proof of residency.
- Employ Florida Registration: Complete registration at employflorida.com.
Awards will be based on a rubric scoring of each application and the availability of scholarship funds. Up to $5000.00 will be available per scholarship based on need and availability of funds. Please note that if you are currently receiving Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding, you are not eligible for this scholarship.
