Breeze Airways to begin service from Jacksonville to New Haven, Connecticut (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Daily Record) — Breeze Airways announced Aug. 13 that it will offer nonstop service from Jacksonville International Airport to New Haven, Connecticut, beginning Feb. 6.
It will be the airline’s second destination in Connecticut; it already offers service to Hartford.
“Breeze has seen tremendous growth from Jacksonville in the last two years,” David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO, said in a news release. “With the addition of New Haven, we’ll now offer 13 nonstop destinations from JAX and three BreezeThru routes. It will also introduce Breeze’s unique affordable and convenient premium leisure offering to a larger audience in Connecticut for travel to Jacksonville.”
New Haven is between Hartford, Connecticut, and Westchester County, New York. It is the home of Yale University.
It will be Breeze’s 16th destination offered from Jacksonville.
Service to Tweed New Haven Airport will be available Thursdays and Sundays with fares starting at $59 each way. Flights leave Jacksonville at 8:25 p.m. and arrive at 10:50 p.m. Return flights leave New Haven at 5:05 p.m. and arrive at 7:45 p.m.
According to flybreeze.com, the airline also offers service to the following cities. Some destinations are seasonal:
Hartford; Las Vegas; New Orleans; Norfolk, Virginia; Providence, Rhode Island; Burlington, Vermont; Columbus, Ohio; Los Angeles; Pittsburgh; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; San Diego; Long Island/Islip, New York; Portland, Maine; Richmond, Virginia; and Westchester County-White Plains, New York.
Breeze Airways began service in May 2021 and operates a fleet of Embraer 190/195 and Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
