Build-out approved for medical marijuana company (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — A $1.1 million build-out for Green Ops Group FL LLC, which is part of a medical marijuana entity, is moving forward after a permit was approved Friday, city records show.

The build-out includes electrical, mechanical and plumbing work for about 3,000 square feet of space at a building located at 3655 University Blvd. near restaurants and retail.

Welday Services Group and David A. Levy & Assoc. are doing work on the project.

Green Ops Group FL LLC, however, was listed as a licensed medical marijuana treatment center in 2021, according to state records. According to Sunbiz records, that entity is associated with Green Ops Group LLC, which is under family investment office Boich Companies of Miami and Columbus, Ohio.

Within the past several years, Green Ops has grown in assets across Florida. Green Ops seized Florida dispensary licenses from the disbanded Green Growth Brands Inc. in 2020, according to Columbus Business First.

Additionally Green Ops has made investments in other parts of Florida, spending $3 million to renovate a warehouse into a medical marijuana greenhouse in Ocala earlier this decade, according to the Ocala StarBanner.
