Jacksonville, Fla. (Aug. 10, 2021) The CareerSource Northeast Florida (CareerSource NEFL) Board of Directors has elected new officers for the 2021-22 Fiscal Year.
Wayne McClain, who has represented private industry in Putnam County on the board since 2018, was elected board chair. He is vice president for the Beck Automotive Group located in Palatka, Florida and brings extensive business experience to his new leadership role.
McClain previously enjoyed a successful career with companies including Mobil Oil Corporation, Miller Brewing Company, JM Family Enterprises and Toyota USA. He is also a former teacher and school principal.
Kevin Doyle, elected vice chair of the CareerSource NEFL Board, is the vice president of state affairs for national public affairs consulting firm HBW Resources and also serves as the managing partner for Wexford Strategies, a business development and government affairs consulting firm. He also serves as vice president of state affairs for Consumer Energy Alliance, which advocates for affordable and reliable energy policy throughout the United States.
Clay Lyons, a certified public accountant (CPA) and partner with Lyons and Lyons, CPAs based in Macclenny, Florida, was re-elected to his fourth term serving as board treasurer. Prior to forming his CPA firm in 1993, Lyons was the public accounts auditor in Lake City, Florida for five years – after starting his CPA career in Macclenny in 1986.
Lyons, who has served on the CareerSource NEFL Board since 1997, is a long-time member of the Baker County Chamber of Commerce and is also a founding member and current board member with International Mission Builders, Inc.
The CareerSource NEFL Board, which provides strategic guidance, feedback and direction to the agency on the delivery of workforce development services, is made up of community and civic leaders in the areas of education, business and government.
