Jacksonville, Fla. (Sept. 15, 2025) CareerSource Northeast Florida (CareerSource NEFL) joins with workforce boards across the country to recognize Workforce Development Month with job fairs, industry events and community partnerships throughout September.
“We celebrate people whose lives are changed every day through learning new skills, finding meaningful careers and by building stronger connections with employers every day,” said CareerSource NEFL President Cheryl Taylor. “Together with our staff and community partners, we’re building a strong talent pipeline that connects job seekers with opportunities and supports business growth in Northeast Florida.”
The national observance highlights programs and services that connect job seekers with meaningful employment while helping businesses find the skilled talent they need to grow.
CareerSource NEFL operates seven career centers in the region and partners with employers and organizations to strengthen the area’s workforce and economy.
In addition to recruitment events held by individual employers at area career centers, job seekers can meet with several employers at one time at CareerSource NEFL Job Fairs scheduled through the end of September.
- In person: 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Gateway Career Center at 5000 Norwood Avenue, Suite 2, Jacksonville. Employers include Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, Enstructure, Race Trac and Wayfair.
- In person: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the Southside Career Center’s Recruitment Wednesday at 11268 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville. Employers include the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office, U.S. Navy Reserve Recruiting, Performance Personnel LLC , Bye Bye Dust Bunnies and Florida State Prison
- In person: 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 18 at the Gateway Career Center at 5000 Norwood Avenue, Suite 2, Jacksonville. Employers include American In-Home Care Home Health Aides, Fifth Third Bank and Whataburger Restaurant.
- Virtual: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18. Featuring remote and hybrid jobs available from 20 employers including Los Alamos National Laboratory, WJCT, FastTrack Staffing, JMI Resource, The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates, ARES Corporation, The Haskell Company and I-Tech Resources. - In person: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at the Southside Career Center’s Recruitment Wednesday at 11268 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville. Employers include Florida State Prison, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Manpower.
