Jacksonville, Fla. (Oct. 28, 2022) CareerSource Northeast Florida (CareerSource NEFL) is teaming up with Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) to host the annual Paychecks for Patriots, a special hiring event dedicated to connecting quality employers with local veterans and military spouses.
This in-person hiring event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at the FSCJ Advanced Technology Center, located at 401 W. State St. in Jacksonville – with more than 80 employers participating.

CareerSource NEFL will also hold four virtual workshops to assist veterans, conducted by the organization’s military employment family advocate. These take place:
9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 – Working with a Military Employment Family Advocate
11 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Nov. 2 – Applying for Veteran’s Administration Benefits
9 to 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4 – Federal Employment Opportunities
11 a.m. to noon, Friday, Nov. 4 – Resume Writing

Paychecks for Patriots is part of a statewide hiring event that directly connects Florida veteran job seekers with Florida’s businesses. During the event, CareerSource NEFL matches veterans with employers who value the skills, knowledge and attributes veterans attain during military service. More than 8,000 veteran candidates and military family members who participated in previous Paychecks for Patriots events have gained employment from connections made at these events.
