Cecil Commerce Center manufacturing project seeks utility permits (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — A new manufacturing plant is on its way to Cecil Commerce Center, but the city is staying mum on the identity of the company behind it.
Phillip Perry, a spokesperson for the city, said the project is confidential. Dan Tatsch, Executive Vice President of Dallas-based Hillwood, did not respond to a request for comment.
The Texas developer has collaborated with Jacksonville since 2010 to be master developer of approximately 4,475 acres of the city-owned property at Cecil.
A service availability application under review by JEA shows the facility is set to have an average daily demand of 581,491 gallons per day for water and 401,455 gallons per day for wastewater.
Marked for Parcel L-O of Cecil, the project will be located on the west end of Water Works Street.
The maximum daily demand is expected to be 976,995 gallons per day for water and 531,148 gallons per day for wastewater.
Operations at the manufacturing facility is anticipated to be round-the-clock, as the facility is set to function 24/7, according to the JEA records.
BGE Inc., the engineers for the project, expect the user to be a significant industrial user with additional pre-treatment and discharge requirements, the application says.
