Jacksonville, Fla. (Aug. 26, 2022) CareerSource Northeast Florida (CareerSource NEFL), the workforce development board for Northeast Florida, has released a two-year revision to its comprehensive four-year plan for a public comment period from Aug. 26 – Sept. 16, 2022.

The modified plan can be reviewed at https://careersourcenortheastflorida.com/policies-and-initatives/ — and a public comment submission form is located at the same link.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each local workforce development board, in partnership with the appropriate chief local elected officials, to develop and submit a comprehensive four-year local plan to the state.

Additionally, local plans must be modified at the end of the first two-year period of the four-year local plan to reflect changes in labor market and economic conditions and other factors affecting the implementation of the local plan.

This two-year modification reflects a collaborative effort between CareerSource NEFL, elected officials, its core partners as well as industry, education, and community-based organizations.

CareerSource NEFL is responsible for providing a trained workforce to the employers in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties. For more information, visit careersourcenefl.com.
