FloridaCommerce has announced that the unemployment rate for the Jacksonville region was 3.6 percent in March 2025 – down slightly from 3.8 percent in February 2025.
Of the 884,584 people counted as the area’s labor force in March, there were 31,957 unemployed residents in the region – down from 33,887 unemployed residents in the region in February.

The current top-five most advertised job occupations among all industries in the region included registered nurses (1,478), retail salespersons (1,113 positions), first-line supervisors of retail salespersons (933 positions), medical and health services managers (806), and first-line supervisors of food preparation and serving workers (781).
