The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) has announced that the unemployment rate for the Jacksonville region decreased slightly from 2.6 percent in October to 2.5 percent in November.
Of the 869,714 people counted as part of the area’s workforce in November, there were 22,177 unemployed residents in the region – down from 22,536 unemployed residents in October.
According to DEO’s November report, St. Johns County continued to have the lowest unemployment rate in Northeast Florida (2.2 percent) followed by Nassau County (2.3 percent), Clay County (2.4 percent), Baker County (2.5 percent), Duval County (2.6 percent) and Putnam County (3.8 percent).
