FloridaCommerce has announced that the unemployment rate for the Jacksonville region was 3.0 percent in November 2023 – down slightly from the previous month.
Of the 907,845 people counted as part of the area’s workforce in November, there were 27,361 unemployed residents in the region – down from 28,625 unemployed residents in October.

The metro area had the highest annual percent job growth in education and health services at 6.7 percent with 8,100 new jobs, financial activities at 4.8 percent with 3,600 new jobs and manufacturing at 4.5 percent with 1,600 new jobs.
In November, St. John’s County continued to record the lowest unemployment rate in the region (2.7 percent), followed by Baker County (2.9 percent), Nassau County (2.9 percent), Clay County (3.0 percent), Duval County (3.1 percent) and Putnam County (4.1 percent)
