Sanitas Medical Center plans just one Northeast Florida location (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Daily Record) — Florida Blue Senior Regional Communication Lead Aleizha Batson said the Sanitas Medical Center that intends to open at Regency Park is the only one planned in Northeast Florida.
“It’s scheduled to open early next year,” Batson said.
The city is reviewing a permit application for the renovation of 8,574 square feet in the previous Hobby Lobby for health care offices at an estimated project cost of $3.61 million.
The location is at 9400 Atlantic Blvd., Unit 8.
Landlord Brixmor shows on a site plan that Sanitas will lease 8,644 square feet in the front corner of former church space that took the Hobby Lobby site. It is near Crunch Fitness.
Plans show eight exam rooms, X-ray, ultrasound and other medical uses, along with space for a senior activity center.
Sanitas, affiliated with Florida Blue, accepts Florida Blue, original Medicare and self-paying patients.
Mysanitas.com says it offers primary, advanced urgent and specialty care; telehealth and walk-in services; vaccinations, and more.
It operates in Florida, New Jersey, Tennessee and Texas.
Its 45 Florida offices are in six areas – Broward, Miami, Orlando, Palm Beach, Tallahassee and Tampa.
