UNF expands transportation and logistics program with new hire and more courses (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — The University of North Florida Coggin College of Business has hired a new leader for the University’s Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics and will add new course offerings as well.
The new faculty member, Herbert Kotzab, will act as director of the Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics and the CSX Transportation Eminent Scholar in Transportation and Logistics.
Kotzab has worked in multiple academic settings over the last 25 years, including, most recently, being chair/professor of logistics management at the University of Bremen. He also has a background in research, strategic logistics and supply chain operations, digitalization in the supply chain, supply chain analysis and logistics audit, and more.
UNF’s transportation and logistics program is also expanding, with multiple new graduate-level courses being added for the fall 2023 semester. Students can now earn a Logistics and Supply Chain Management certificate and take part in an MSBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management concentration.
According to UNF, the expansion of this program comes as a response to the growing demand from professionals looking to further their careers in multiple facets of the transportation and logistics industries.
