Work set to begin on new hangar complex at Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — Construction on a new hangar complex at Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport takes a step forward after a permit was recently approved for one of the buildings, records show.
The facility is part of a four-building project with 17 private hangars at the airport located at 855 St. Johns Bluff Road.
The four buildings will be off Charles Lindbergh Drive, according to the plans. The developer is JAOPA LLC.
Robinn Singles, a representative of the LLC, said in September that the executive airport had a dearth of hangar construction.
The hangar structure has a price tag of $1.3 million, making the total cost of the project $5.2 million.
The enclosed space of the approved hangar is 11,648 square feet on a site that’s about 7 acres.
Once the entire project is complete, it will contain 57,000 square feet of individually owned hangars, Singles said.
