Jacksonville, Fla. (Nov. 14, 2022) As part of National Apprenticeship Week (Nov. 14 -20), CareerSource NEFL) is hosting a series of events to connect job seekers with apprenticeship opportunities and offer guidance to businesses in setting up their own apprenticeship programs.
The week kicks off with a webinar for job seekers, students and parents from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 to find out more about the ‘earn-as-you-learn’ opportunities provided through apprenticeships. All participants can register online at https://bit.ly/APPWebinar111522.
Then, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 16, CareerSource NEFL hosts a virtual apprentice job fair – which is also open to review online throughout the week. Job seekers can register to take part at https://bit.ly/APPVirtualJobFair111622.
Apprenticeship week culminates with a webinar for businesses on the value and set-up of apprenticeship programs from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17.
Webinar speakers include Independent Electrical Contractors (Florida West Coast Chapter) Executive Director Natasha Sherwood, ACI Learning Campus Director Tiffany Murphy, Metropower Apprenticeship Specialist Marcus Francisco and CareerSource NEFL Apprenticeship Navigator Doreen Lund.
