In partnership with Baptist Health, CareSpot Urgent Care launches center in Ortega (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — CareSpot Urgent Care opened a new facility in Jacksonville Thursday as part of a growing partnership with Baptist Health, according to an announcement.

As part of a collaboration with the Jacksonville healthcare giant, CareSpot opened its newest location at 4461 Beverly Ave., Unit 5, in the Ortega neighborhood. The opening also diversifies the portfolio of a plaza that mainly had food and retail.

Launching a new center in the Jacksonville Roosevelt (Ortega) Center strengthens the urgent care specialist’s investment in Northeast Florida and builds up its footprint across the Jacksonville market, the announcement said.

“We open today with a clear mission: to provide swift, compassionate medical care precisely when our community needs it,” said Shaun Ginter, CEO of CareSpot Urgent Care. “In partnership with Baptist Health, this new facility reflects our ongoing dedication to bringing high-quality, accessible healthcare to every family.”

Services at the new facility include urgent care and occupational health services ranging from treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, flu and seasonal care to immunizations, X-rays, lab services and physicals.

Additionally, the center provides school, sports, employment, and pre-op physicals.

Eric Fletcher, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Baptist Health, said the latest expansion is part of Baptist’s commitment to growing high-quality, walk-in healthcare.

“At Baptist Health, we’re committed to making healthcare more accessible and convenient,” Fletcher said. “Working with CareSpot to open another urgent care location strengthens our ability to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time, ensuring more people have timely access to trusted care close to home.”
