Johnson & Johnson expansion in Jax moves forward as it gets $26M in permits (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — Johnson & Johnson Vision received two permits worth $26 million worth of work at its Baymeadows headquarters, following a pledge to invest more in Jacksonville last year.
A permit approved Friday calls for a $20 million, three-story, 9,848-square-foot 2GT Wastes Plastics addition project and a $6.1 million, 6,000-square-foot nitrogen plant at 7500 Centurion Parkway. Turner Construction Co. is the contractor for both.
The company announced the transition to solar at its headquarters in 2021.
Johnson & Johnson Vision group Chairman Peter Menziuso said future growth plans and investment were in the company’s sights.
“We’ll continue to invest, will invest in capital, will invest in talent, will invest in the community,” Menziuso said previously. “These are all important elements of why we continue to thrive here and will thrive here.”
