ImagineCare and Florida organizations join forces to bolster services, resources for vulnerable residents (Courtesy of the Jacksonville Business Journal) — As part of its commitment to serve Medicaid managed care recipients in Florida, ImagineCare has formed contractual partnerships with 20 nonprofit organizations across the state, two serving vulnerable residents in Jacksonville. Locally, Episcopal Children’s Services and Fostering Connections can expand and enhance their programs and services with the long-term support and resources provided by ImagineCare, a joint venture between Spark Pediatrics and CareSource.

Health care experience and community connection

Spark Pediatrics formed the joint venture, ImagineCare, with CareSource because CareSource is a nationally recognized managed health care organization that has repeatedly formed partnerships with community organizations in its other markets.

At the heart of these community-based partnerships is ImagineCare’s ability to bolster familiar services and resources for Medicaid recipients in Florida. By partnering with local organizations that operate at a granular level with individuals and communities, this joint venture will contribute to better birth outcomes, improvements to children’s mental health, and an increase in home- and community-based services and support.

ImagineCare provides proven Medicaid managed care experience, in-home and clinical expertise, and an innovative approach to health care. Partnering with trusted community organizations provides Florida families with trusted community nonprofits without families having to reestablish routines, points of contact or delivery methods.

A commitment to Northeast Florida

Building on CareSource’s established local relationships and Spark Pediatrics’ nearly 15 years in South Florida, our ImagineCare community partnerships can continue to strengthen and enhance local community services and programs. For example, CareSource granted Episcopal Children Services an initial $50,000 as part of a statewide grant challenge in early 2023. ImagineCare can now further this commitment and provide long-term support to Episcopal Children Services’ programs such as Head Start/Early Head Start, voluntary prekindergarten, school readiness services, provider services, and support for parents and caregivers.

Based in Jacksonville, Episcopal Children’s Services serves children from infancy through age 5, and expectant mothers. With a program reach that extends to 14 counties in Northeast and Central Florida, Episcopal Children’s Services helps underserved children build a strong foundation for educational success.

Fostering Connections, also based in Jacksonville, serves foster families, adoptive families and families impacted by trauma with children in grades pre-K to 12.

With ImagineCare’s partnership, Fostering Connections will be able to further its behavioral health programs, which include but are not limited to life coaching; education; career readiness; college readiness; and support for children of foster care, adoption and trauma.

A mission-driven approach

ImagineCare is committed to a mission-driven approach that will make a lasting difference in the health of Florida’s most vulnerable residents, their families and their local communities.
