FIS world headquarters on track for June 2022 completion on downtown Jacksonville Northbank (Courtesy of the Florida Times-Union) — Global financial technology giant FIS is on schedule to complete construction next year of its new world headquarters on the edge of downtown Jacksonville in the historic Brooklyn neighborhood.

The estimated $145 million project includes a 12-story office building and adjacent eight-level parking garage at 347 and 323 Riverside Ave. It’s on the Northbank of the St. Johns River.

Construction is on schedule to be completed by June 2022, according to Adam Kiefaber, head of corporate and executive public relations.

Kiefaber said about 70 percent of the building is complete. Most of the remaining work is interior construction.

FIS is consolidating its current 601 Riverside Ave. headquarters along with two additional Jacksonville-based facilities into the new headquarters building.

“FIS committed to bringing at least 500 new jobs to Jacksonville by 2029, increasing our workforce from about 1,300 employees to 1,800 colleagues,” Kiefaber said.

He said the building will reflect the Fortune 500 company’s commitment to the environment.

“This building will become one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in Jacksonville, being LEED Platinum certified and being built in line with the WELL Building Standard,” he said.
