Northeast Florida is also recovering well in the leisure and hospitality sector, which added 9,400 jobs over the last year, which is the third-fastest annual job growth rate compared to all Florida metro areas. In October alone, there was significant increase in accommodation and food service jobs of more than 200 percent in Northeast Florida.

The current top-five most advertised job occupations among all industries in the region included first-line supervisors of retail salespersons (1,494 positions), registered nurses (1,242 positions), retail sales workers (1,226 positions), customer service representatives (710 positions) and first-line supervisors of food preparation and serving workers (652).
